Visit to Maloka
Students from the Putumayo region who participated in a writing contest, took a cultural and interactive tour of the Bogotá city.
In December 2016, 8 of the students who participated in the writing contest traveled to the city of Bogotá together with Patricia Smith, the volunteer Camilo Gracia and two other tutors. The objective of this trip was to take a tour of the main cultural and artistic centers of the city. During the stay, the group stayed at the JW Marriott hotel, who offered their support to the foundation and the project. We visited the Botero Museum, the Casa de la Moneda, the Bogotá Planetarium and the Maloka Interactive Museum; we also took a tour of the historic center of the city.
We support new forms of learning through comprehensive proposals such as Popular Education, which is based on participation, dialogue and the recognition of different knowledge during educational practice, which does not occur only within the school but in different spaces, so Therefore, we promote the cultural, indigenous values and care for the environment, native to Putumayo.
